Aug 28th 2009, Students who have achieved
1st awards in cluster level 'Pratibha Karanji' competitions have
participated in the Taluk level competitions and have won one
1st prize and one 2nd prizes.
Aug 13th 2009, Senior level students have
participated in the cluster level 'Pratibha Karanji' competitions
and have won two 1st, two 2nd and one 3rd prize.
Aug 8th 2009, The Junior school children
have participated in the Cluster Level competitions 'Pratibha
Karanji' and won four 1st prizes, 1 second prize and the Championship
prize in Junior level.
Aug 8th 2009,
Roofing of a single room house has been replaced. The house will
be renovated, for use by volunteers to stay while they are at
Bev.
Aug 6th 2009, Transplanting of Rice from
the nursery has started and will last 3 weeks for 10 acres that
are to be planted. Transplanting is done by hand where 3-4 stalks
of rice seedling are planted in waterlogged fields about four-six
inches apart. The rice will be mature for harvest in about 4 months.
Aug 3rd 2009, Lemon grass has been planted.
Lemon grass has many uses. Some of the uses are: as flavouring
in cooking, as a disinfectant, and essential oil is extracted
from its stalk and leaves.
July
28th 2009, New Solar Units have
been installed for the new library/office for communication system
(phones and internet) and in the Ayurvedic therapy mud house for
lighting.

12th 2009, Notification of the annual
district cultural competition 'Pratibha Karanji' between
all primary and secondary schools has been announced. Bev school
students have therefore started preperations and practice of dance,
drawing, painting and other activities for the same. It may be
noted that in the previous year Bev students have recieved 7 first
prize, 4 second prizes and one 3rd prize out of 16 participations.
July
10th 2009, A new room is being furnished and remodeled
to shift the existing library to the first floor of the temple
complex. The new library will have better ambience and will serve
better for study.
June
25th 2009, Plowing of fields for the
rainy season crop of rice has started. An estimated 8 acres of
land will be planted this season. The plowing and preparing of
the fields will be completed in 20 days.
June
7th 2009, A new teacher has been appointed
for the Bev School for subjects of Maths and science for the upper
grades of 7, 8, 9 and 10th.
June
1st 2009, The charitable School run by the society
has commenced for the school year 2009-2010. The results for the
academic year 2008-2009 were announced and 100% of the students
have passed.
May
20th 2009, Sugarcane, Tapioca and Ginger lots have
been planted.
May
4th 2009, Renovation of a mud house for the purpose
of use as a Ayurvedic massage and therapy centre has begun.
